Privacy Policy

Furry PI is a cat food analysis tool. We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little data as possible. This page explains exactly what happens with the data you share when you use the app.

What we store on your device

The following is stored only in your browser's localStorage — we keep no copy of it on our servers (though chat messages are sent to Anthropic for processing, as described below):

• Your chat messages with Furry PI
• Your cat's profile (age, weight, allergies, etc., if you provide it)
• Your comparison list
• A flag confirming you've seen the welcome screen

You can clear all of this any time from your browser settings.

What we send to third parties

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — your chat messages, label photos you scan, and product details you type in for analysis are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic is a US company, so this data is processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses). Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. • Vercel — hosts the app. May log basic request metadata (IP, user agent) for security and analytics.
• Vercel Analytics — anonymous page-view counts. No personal data, no cookies.

What we store on our servers

For abuse prevention, we briefly store your IP address — which is personal data under the GDPR — in our database to enforce a daily request limit. We do this based on our legitimate interest in keeping the Service available and preventing abuse. The entry auto-deletes after 24 hours.

Label photos and product details you submit for analysis are processed only to generate your analysis and are not stored on our servers. Beyond the temporary IP record above, we do not store your chat history, your cat's profile, or any other personal data on our servers.

Cookies

We don't use cookies. Just localStorage, which works similarly but stays only in your browser.

Your rights (GDPR)

The data controller for Furry PI is the Service's operator, reachable at info@furrypi.com. The only personal data we hold server-side is the temporary IP record described above (legal basis: legitimate interest), so there's very little for us to delete. To remove all data:

• Clear your browser's localStorage for this site
• Wait 24 hours for the rate-limit IP record to expire

If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI, vdai.lrv.lt).
